Chick-fil-A is turning down artificial intelligence in its drive-thru lanes, choosing human employee interaction over automated order takers as competitors embrace voice technology.
With a corporation, that gets complicated. IIRC, it was the CEO and/or other top executives, not the company itself. And those executives are now gone, but still funding the same atrocities.
The new executives still aren’t great, so it’s easy in this particular case. But what if they really were different?
In this case, Jesus chicken has always been anti lgbtq. Their long history would prevent me from forgiving them for that, but maybe if it was under new ownership or something.
People can change, but how often have you personally seen some MAGA chud or anti-lgbtq bigot realize they’ve been an asshole and change themselves for the better? I won’t say those things never happen, but I’m pretty sure it’s fucking rare.
Fair point, but I’d struggle to forgive a business even more than a person. Sometimes it also doesn’t matter if they change if what they’ve done is awful enough.
I don’t care if they still fund it or not. When somebody shows you who they are, believe them the first time.

Words are cheap, I’ll forgive them only if they do a 180 and actually start supporting the community instead of funding bigots.
I like their food and their service is top notch, so I’d be glad to see positive change from them.
Nobody can change?

And in the general case?
I have no problem forgiving people if that’s what you’re getting at. There’s a difference between forgiveness and excusing bad behavior, though.

This isn’t a “body”, its a fucking company. If people weren’t so fucking sedated they would be out of business for their hate
A corporation?
