my research indicates the world is going through a complete transformation. i could be wrong.

but if i am not wrong, then there is something significant happening right now. if so, why aren’t more people “waking up” to see what is occurring right before them?

edit:

i will definitely not be doxxing myself by sharing any of my research projects, custom tools or other resources that could identify me.

what i will say is there are enough of you here who understand what i am saying to speak plainly…

from my position in space and time, we coexist in an era of great opportunity. right before we begin mining and colonizing space, truly epic times. only a few will notice which way the winds are blowing. if you have the guts and savvy to figure it out by doing your homework, i say take full advantage of your observations. whatever your ambitions are. it’s okay to be a little selfish and make real change happen.

Most people get their news about the world from social media or cable news. Both of those places tightly control the scope of information that they will allow to be presented on their platforms. It doesn’t matter if it’s fox news, cnn, MS Now, Facebook, Threads, or Tiktok they all follow broadly the same rules so that approved issues maintain their neat and tidy binary positions and suppress inconvenient issues that could cause someone to ask questions that don’t have expedient answers. It’s why the only issues the media cover are wedge issues with no possibility of reconciliation like trans rights & abortion and largely ignore broadly supported issues like legal weed or wealth inequality and when they do cover them they always highlight the minority opinion and frame it as the majority.

In the US there is also the matter of lack of education. At this point the majority of US adults have been through an education system that has been stripped of critical thinking skills and that acts more like babysitters with the power to arrest students. Most US citizens don’t even realize they can question authority let alone stray so far out of the opinion and consent manufacturing infrastructure that they could wake up.

There is also staggering amount of willful ignorance in the general population. It’s difficult to accept uncomfortable truths and most would prefer to live in the fractured pseudo-reality the media industrial complex peddles.

People really need to stop acting like we have some divine code or some shit hidden inside of us as a species waiting to be universally realized. We are apes, basic ass animals. We are what we are, we’re not awaiting some giant magic bullshit to wake us up. This is some legitimate waiting for a savior ass mentality. Live your life and stop expecting the world to suddenly give a shit.

What is your “research”, and why should we trust it when you don’t even follow basic grammar rules like capitalization?

i have read and watched and listened to as much information/media from a wide and deep array of sources. i know that sounds trite. but it’s what i have done as a lifestyle for 15 years.

for example, the feds have been expecting a time of accelerating technological convergence (similar to “the singularity” or “a transcendental object at the end of history”) since the 1950s. something important (unknown to me) happened in the federal government during the 1950s. it was a systemic cultural shift from the top down. it could have been more of a bottom up series of changes. but i really don’t know for sure.

these are likely those times. the consequences are world changing and we are just at the beginning of it all.

this is what my research indicates.

        Yeah yeah, the singularity…

…which is why modern mass produced houses (with paper thin flammable walls) are so much sturdier than older well built houses?

It’s why modern cars with subscription models for seat warmers and extra acceleration are preferable to older cars that just had seat warmers and top acceleration already built in…

…and why a radio play written by AI is 1000 times better than a radio play written by real people, right?

Because the singularity is making everything better?

Have you considered that all that media you’ve been consuming is premised on selling you on ideas and purchases? On technologies that aren’t necessarily better, but keep their sponsors happy?

Don’t get me wrong. AI when correctly trained can be useful. But I don’t think it’s the cure all people make it out to be, and I don’t think we’re anywhere near a singularity.

Here’s a video debunking a lot of the AI stuff the media claims:

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=claxN4oxDuY

See… That’s a person who actually knows how to research. Where as just watching things isn’t really research. To properly research things you need media literacy and meta studies, and to understand the fundamentals of how things work… And to run practices and experiments on how things play out IRL.

Ultimately human labour (both mental and physical) drives the world 99.9% of the time, and AI hasn’t alleviated that problem except in the most innane areas (real estate agent copy writing and advertising copy writing).

Even programmers admit that when they use AI it’s not their best work, with many admitting it writes poor quality code.

I myself hooked some models up to Blender to allow it to create 3D scenes from prompts and found it could barely place spheres and cubes to mimic sculpting.

None of this technology is bright, or the be all and end all (extra training actually has logarithmically declining returns). So far, and for the immediate future it’s EMPTY HYPE, and human art, science, and WORK HOURS are still increadibly intense, and increadibly necessary.

Don’t count your chickens before they hatch… You may well have just picked up a bunch of rocks because the media told you they’ll be chickens soon enough.

The world has been radically transforming for 2000 years. The rise of agriculture, the dark ages, the printing press, the discovery of the new world, the renaissance, isaac newton, the industrial age, the combustion engine, the atomic age, etc. There’s no evidence that current transformations underway are any more or less radical. It is a constant and uninterrupted transformation. We are biased: current transformations feel more profound to us simply because we are living through them.

For all the benefits of a cerebellum, humans are wired to focus on their immediate needs: food, shelter, water, sex. Yes, the higher brain can put a man on the moon, but that doesn’t put dinner on the table tonight, or pay the rent this week.

With limits to our energy, time, and attention, we (statistically) each focus on the here and now. Anything “down the road” (like climate change), is “tomorrow’s problem”. It’s not malevolence; it’s our wiring at a biological level.

The development of a cerebellum on top of our lizard brain was necessary to assure survival. But it came with some critical drawbacks that needed mitigation: We became aware of the nature of our mortality. We could spend precious energy consumed with tasks that gave future benefit (like farming or making tools). The equation stood to be unbalanced. The squirrel who spends his energy collecting nuts still needs to eat today’s meal. Humans couldn’t stand around helplessly fearing their own eventual death. We were therefore gifted with the ability to easily ignore transformative changes around us, and ignore knowledge/wisdom that our cerebellums deduce; instead simply adapt to whatever our environment gives us.

This manifests mostly as procrastination and avoidance. Inaction does not imply ignorance. We are behaving as we are currently designed to behave. All the wars, violence, theft, torture, and cruelty are manifestations of our lower brains, and evidence that they retain control. What humanity doesn’t grasp in its smugness is that we are not finished yet. Our evolution is not complete. It will require perhaps a hundred thousand more years for the slow hand of evolution to winnow out the petty behaviors that drive us. If we survive that long, we will become altruistic beings motivated by rational thought, acting to effect both our short and long term needs.

Until that day, the space aliens will do what they always do: have a quick look then turn around and go home.

My research indicates that such words usually end up in rape, mass suicide or occasional terrorism.

i understand the skepticism. that’s why all of my research tools are open source and why i admit i could be wrong about anything. always in pursuit of truer trues. always in alignment with the truth.

Because to many people, ignorance is indeed bliss, and they like it that way. Once you wake up, it is normal to feel a sense of impending doom until you start improving the world yourself; then you have hope.

I mean, obviously the big movements you’re talking about are the return of airship travel, urine drinking as a health tonic, and the further acceptance of gay and queer practices amongst black men.

In my view people who aren’t waking up to this need to do the research! Look at the stats, you know, less mouth bacteria ALONE is a great reason (your teeth will thank you in old age)… And really, buy a top hat and tails (no bottoms required).

Anyone who doesn’t know is already behind the curve and needs to WAKE THE FUCK UP INSIDE.

    Can’t wake up.

    WAKE ME UP INSIDE…

EDIT: I wrote this before OP revealed they were talking about the singularity, so didn’t write it to mock them, just to express confusion (and random guessing) about the transformation to the world that were being proposed. The original post is written like a weird guessing game, so that’s how I took it.

I would honestly say it’s more Apathy than Propaganda.

Most people simply don’t think they can do anything, that it wastes their time, and therefore just tune it out and try to pretend it doesn’t exist.

Most people are shallow and artless. They’re not even well informed or educated enough to be apathetic. Apathy implies knowing the pot is boiling and deciding not to get out of it. They don’t even know the pot is boiling.

I work with a lot of Indians. They have been shocked recently by the arrest of some of their American born children by ICE. The children were thankfully returned but after talking to them I discovered they had no clue that the US is currently engaged in ethnic cleansing of non whites. And these are all people with masters degrees at least.
