i used to have the impression that grownups were competent
Mine is that people think punishment will come after death, so there is limited reason to bother seeking justice now. Extremely apathetic world view.

Poor bad people get disproportionately punished to be made an example of.
Lately I’ve been telling myself “no war but class war” whatever a dickhead in a shitty car cuts me off or rides in the shoulder or something, as a reminder that “poor bad people” are victims too.
Basically it helps direct my anger at those who deserve it more, not the misguided thin blue line jagoff who probably will be homeless if they miss a paycheck, etc. (And don’t get me wrong, I wanna strangle them but we have a common enemy even if they don’t know it!)
My experience with shitty managers tells me that it’s not just rich people.

It’s about the wealth-gradient.
Shit always moves down the gradient.
Temperature gradient. Pressure gradient. Wealth gradient is the same.

Yeah but I’m guessing the shift manager at burger king is not going home to a mansion.
But that’s the game. Keep the poors fighting over scraps.
Poor “perfectionist ethics” good people get punished even worse.
People who are ethically normal and average but poor are usually content. People who operate on vibes are fine. I’m surrounded by them.
But if you are stupid and selfish you are fucked and if you are smart and neurotic about being a good person you are double fucked.
