Don’t worry. Fat or not, that cat has this under control. It’s good to tell the kids where he likes to be petted, if he does. But there’s no need to supervise, just go find the bandaids.

    Cats teach kids about consequences.

In one of my houses a couple neighbor kids would ring the door bell to see our cats.

It was a little girl about 6 and a boy that was like 3. Loved that block.

Everyone got along mostly and we would all hang out together.

We even got all the kids to help us clean up a messy / unsightly sidewalk near a vacant house to encourage trick or treaters to come down for halloween.

Sounda like they wanna cook and eat it. Take the leader down first. Hard. Then there will be one or two more heroes. The remaining ones always run.

Dont forget to say something like ‘just remember, you wanted this’.
