Do conservatives still say that? I remember Dubya saying that decades ago - and my wife and I still laugh at that occasionally. Anytime we have a minor convenience it’s because someone hates our freedom.

Usually not in those exact words. But everything adjacent to those words. Ben Shapiro repeatedly makes the comment that liberals hate America. Except he can’t say liberals. They’re the radical left. They’re Democrats that hate America. Their DSA the hate America. They hate its abundance. They hate its progress. They hate its free markets. Unfortunately, one of the good things about Ben Shapiro is he does specify who “they” are. And he calls out people who don’t specify who “they” are. It’s one of the only good things about him.

I always find this stuff funny, but it sucks that so many people hear it and take it seriously. The idea of anyone that doesn’t vote Republican just hating America because of our abundance, progress, or freedom is just ridiculous. But I suppose he can’t go out there telling the truth or he’d lose his audience.

It’s like those graphics you see on Fox News about the “radical left” ideas like free healthcare and affordable housing.

He is losing audience. The Tucker/Fuentes right are cannibalizing his audience. Becoming a Trump Supporter didn’t help him because he did it right before Trump supporters started thinking Trump wasn’t radical enough.

I often think that there’s no way a man could possibly achieve levels of douchebaggery so high that he sends a message like this unironically. Then I get in my car and see large pickup trucks behaving the way they do.

There is a real question about whether a relationship should continue after a transition, but doing it over texts and in such a debatey way is kinda weird.

Lmao, I might have read it wrong. I read “I never asked for a girlfriend” as “you were a man, now that you’re a woman I can’t be with you anymore.” 🤣

I think the implication is that this guy asked a woman to be his girlfriend, then cheated on her. When he was caught, he said that he only asked if He could be her boyfriend, but never claimed that she was his girlfriend, leaving him free to have other relationships. It’s a twisted logic that’s gaslighting the woman…

I thought they meant transgression but they really did mean transition. Misread it as if the guy had a boyfriend who transitioned, and he didn’t want to have a girlfriend.
