Yesterday afternoon I was stretched out on my bed and watching some ilgotten youtube videos and I feel asleep, when I woke up from my afternoon nap I got worried about how much the RCMP may rely on the US. I am an activist in the Trans community and know a thing or two about name changes, so I was concerned about that data getting out. After running a few tests I found out that the RCMP practically live in Microslops ass. My MP is a back bencher conservative so I had to frame the issue differently when I was reminded about how he said he was not going to fight all of Bill C-20 because of a “think of the children” line so I wrote a new letter to him about this. I thought I would write a letter to my city councilor after doing the same checks on the cities system today, but I woke up real early this morning thinking my MP is a do nothing back bencher I should write the actual minister in charge of the RCMP. Several hours of writing and editing went by I stood up for a stretch and went to lay down, when I realized Anandasangaree looked after more than the RCMP and at that moment I realized I almost F’d up. I looked at the agencies he is in charge of and than spent several more hours working them into the letter.
Today the plan was to get a letter written to Anandasangaree in the morning send it off then get a letter to my city councillor, after running the tests I am sure will come back up Microslop’s ass. I could probably do the tests now but I am to burnt out to actually do the writting.
I loved doing papers back in university but with those you got to write and write not really being fixed by the length but writing political letters you need to be susinct and to the point no longer than a single A4 page.

The EU is cutting the usa tech cord. Why not Canada? At least get “Twitter” off of the federal government website. Canadians don’t need to be contacting their federal government by using oligarchic tech. And that “X” gives it a fascist/nazi feel.
Agreed. I’ve gone out of my way to abandon as much American tech and services as I possibly can (that’s why I’m here). We all should definitely take the time to email and call our local MPs to encourage this, and encourage the people in our lives to do what they can. Ditch American social media, browsers, search engines, etc. etc. etc. And for God’s sake, everyone cancel Amazon Prime. Bezos doesn’t need your monthly contribution.
Funny story about writing your MP did you know that the email server, is likely located in Canada but the company hosting it is Microslop. If you want to see for yourself and have the ability to ssh into Linux, commands are probably the same for any current version of whatever flavour of BSD or DOS (if there are still any active versions of DOS) you are using: dig MX parl.gc.ca it will show you a bunch of stuff but you will see the email stuff goes through cisco (Canadian division but still subject to the cloud act). Than if you go run the command dig A parl.gc.ca. you will see this IP address 20.220.134.182. Than you run whois 20.220.134.182 you will find out that it is run on a Microslop server.
I’m not really shocked, but it is pretty ridiculous.
I hope this is happening especially since we seem to be interested to align with Europe more and more.
The only thing this trade war achieved is having Canadians realize how much we’re codependent on the USA (They’re codependent on us too, but that’s not relevant to the point here)…
And we realize that’s probably a bad thing. So let’s do what we can to not be that way.
One country representing something like 3/4s of our annual trade is not great. Maybe the numbers are smaller (or even larger) but the actual figures don’t matter that much. The point is that we’re too dependent on the USA for trade already, and that should change. It will help us have a better global position as the “first world” power that we are.
It’s just, long past due for us to reduce or eliminate our dependence on the USA.
They’ll always be our biggest partner due to their proximity and the fact they are the biggest consumers in the world. That could change though.
70% is going to the USA according to CBC’s About that. 30% of that is O&G though (according to ATB). That doesn’t mean we can’t diversify. They will always be a major trading partner whether we want to or not. They are a massive neighbour and we can’t move. So be it. Let’s diversify and connect with others as much as we can. We can shift that but we won’t drop them. Hence trying to get a good deal (even signed in pencil) is important.
An obvious avenue to make some rapid change is to align with and use the European efforts to de-Americanize.
First, though, kick Palantir out on their ass.
