Private trackers or good (paid) Usenet indexers are two solutions for *arr tools specifically. If you’re manually adding files then just get them from trusted uploaders, manually check the upload before getting it.

I have both and indeed never get a .exe file. The only bad files I get are the French dubbed and subbed while it doesn’t say in the title. I did blacklist a few but once in a while another French version gets through the defenses. God damn French people. Often the English audio is included too, but not a single sub I can find on opensubtitles fits the video stream and I like to watch with English subs.

They are also known for assuming everyone speaks French. Just mark it as FR or French and all is fine. No marking what so ever makes loads of non-French speakers downloading the files for nothing. It’s just pure French asshole behavior.

I switched auto search to my private tracker only, manually I include lime as well. I prefer seeding publicly, some of my torrents have a 1:1k ratio

I got a .exe for the first time in my life last week. There was a webrip of Odyssey that was on the pirate bay but yeah it was .exe. i did have good luck with that before though because I got a webrip of Project Hail Mary when it was still in theatres.
