windows is easier to use, harder to break ,all apps and games support it natively.
hardware acceleration works on browsers on it unlike linux(yes it even works with nvidia)
nvidia drivers are perfect.
all hardware ever made for computers works on it.
everyone knows it.
it has real excutable forum. the .exe and is easy to give apps in it.
its very fast with modern ssds. laptops and pcs dont get sold without an ssd anymore so thats not a problem.
adobe apps work ,ms office works. kernel anti cheat apps work.
and you can use it without ever touching the terminal .
it has many sources to troubleshoot online and even ai is better at windows than linux (bec linux always changes) and you generally dont need to troubleshoot stuff just works.
This has been reported as posted by a troll. I’ll let the community decide.
- Edit
I reviewed all their posts and comments. They are obviously shit posting. We allow it, to a limit.
The comments here have been great, so I’m leaving it up, but giving them a temp ban. Feel free to break the civility rule within reason on this shit poster, as this is what they want.
Well, it’s certainly an uniformed opinion. Linux is just different from windows. It has a different ethos and goal and it excels at that. Conversely, Windows is terrible at the things Linux is good at.
I’ll ignore the long list of errors in your post for now under the impression that you just don’t know what you’re talking about.
i know what im talking about. i used linux and hated it.
Have you ever patched your kernel or even used ssh? Or did you just install Ubuntu and got upset that programs were named differently?
yes i did patch the kernel before
I’m proud of you.
You’ve had an experience and learned from it, broadening your own horizons. You’ve yet to learn that your experiences and needs are not universal, however, and that what works (or doesn’t) for you isn’t universally applicable.
Baby steps!
Yikes. If you make this ragebait any more obvious, people may actually think you’re being serious…
im very serious
This post is clearly low effort flamebait, but I’m bored so let’s go point by point, shall we?
windows is easier to use
Only if you grew up using Windows. People who came up on Macs have a hard time adjusting to Windows but generally find Linux (especially with GNOME) easier. This point is purely relative to one’s previous experiences.
(Windows is) harder to break
You’ll need to define “break”. Intentional or accidental? On the desktop, or deeper levels of the OS? This is so intentionally vague of a comment that it’s clearly designed to be flamebait.
all apps and games support (Window) natively
All Windows apps and games support Windows natively. Linux can run most Windows apps and games via Wine, in addition to all Linux-targeted apps.
hardware acceleration works on browsers on (Window) unlike linux
Hardware acceleration in browsers also works fine on Linux on all three major GPU platforms. Was this an intentionally false statement or just ignorance?
nvidia drivers are perfect.
No driver is perfect. NVIDIA drivers on both Windows and Linux can be buggy. Not every application on either platform works perfectly on NVIDIA drivers. With that said, NVIDIA drivers have come a long way on Linux especially lately since Linux is the desired platform for “AI” companies to run their models.
all hardware ever made for computers works on (Windows)
Let’s assume you’re talking about Windows 3.x from the 90s all the way to current Windows 11. With that assumption, this is demonstrably false. There are devices from the 90s and early to mid 2000s that don’t have drivers for Windows 8 and up. While Windows does have better backwards compatibility than Linux overall, your absolute statement is false.
everyone knows (Windows).
A near monopoly is not the positive selling point you pretend to think it is. Just because nearly everyone is forced to interact with Windows due to work and school does not automatically make it better.
(Windows) has real excutable forum. the .exe and is easy to give apps in it.
This sentence is grammatical garbage and makes absolutely no sense. I think you’re trying to say that the Windows Executable format is “real” and Linux executable files aren’t? That is literal nonsense. “Easy to give apps in it?” Okay, I’ll grant you one can email a .exe file to someone and they can run it on their PC. That just means .exe files are the number one vector for viruses. Congratulations, you’re infected!
(Windows is) very fast with modern ssds.
All operating systems are faster with faster storage. What point is this statement trying to make?
laptops and pcs dont get sold without an ssd anymore so thats not a problem.
This statement means fuck all to your point, but anyway tell that to HP, who in 2026 are still shipping base model computers with spinning hard drives.
adobe apps work ,ms office works (in Windows).
Absolutely true. If you need those exact applications, run Windows.
kernel anti cheat apps work (in Windows)
I don’t know about you but I’d rather not be forced to install a kernel level root kit in my PC where it can open up a wide vector for malware to take over and bad actors to take control of my computer. But you do you.
and you can use it without ever touching the terminal
Tell that to any sysadmin who manages Windows installations for a corporation or organization and they will laugh you out of the room. PowerShell and Windows Terminal are integral parts of the OS. They aren’t used that often by regular users, but install certain software and watch as the installer opens several terminal windows to run commands in the background.
it has many sources to troubleshoot online
Arch Linux Wiki. LinuxQuestions. The Ubuntu Wiki. StackOverflow. Fucking Reddit. Shall I go on?
and even ai is better at windows than linux (bec linux always changes)
Again, so broad a statement there’s no way to know what exactly you’re talking about here. Using “AI” to hallucinate answers to your questions like “what is a .exe file” and “oh shit how do I fix my broken NVIDIA driver”? Or running local “AI” models? For that latter task, all of the local LLMs are Linux-first and designed to run on Linux OSes. Go ahead, ask your favorite chatbot, it will confirm that. Or it will tell you that Linux doesn’t exist and Bill Gates is the president of the US. They tend to hallucinate like that.
and you generally dont need to troubleshoot stuff just works.
Wait, I thought you were so proud of all of the Windows troubleshooting resources? Do you need to troubleshoot it or not?
Username checks out…
imagine telling on yourself this much
Downvoted because not an unpopular opinion.
You know how to use Windows, not computers.
I’ve been off Microslop for over a year. I’ve barely logged in, mostly to do updates. But I understand Windows better now than I did when I left. That’s because Windows will teach you how to use Windows, while Linux will teach you how to use computers.
That comment about the terminal is funny, because powershell is one of the best things about Windows 10/11. And a real Windows user would know that.
Congrats on actually posting a unpopular opinion.
