    Showing a video you genuinely find funny to your best hommie just to be forced to watch him obviously pretending to laugh for two minutes.

    Just forward the video. Then they can type “lol” without having to watch it.

      Try to imagine a party where phones aren’t allowed.

      No one taking pictures or video, everyone talking to each other in the moment, just for the moment, just for each other.

    I am low vision so I can’t see a phone unless it’s nice and close.

    This fact has saved me from many of these situations. If they are extra insistent I tell them to send me the link and reply with a laugh emoji as is expected in our culture.

    This has the same energy of being around a group of close friends that you’re not particularly close with and they’re all laughing about some inside joke that only the group can understand and I’m just like wtf this is not even remotely funny
