    The image picker now uses the fancy new Photo Picker

    The fancy new photo picker is a significant downgrade. It can’t search file names, it doesn’t work with microSD cards, and it’s painfully slow. Can we get an option to select images with an external gallery app?

    Is there a way to give the new photopicker access to more folders? I can only see three (Camera, Screenshots and Downloads) but I have multiple other folders (from editing apps, screenshots, downloads from Twitter etc), that I now can’t access from Sync.

        Yes, the new one looks nice and clean. I think a bit of padding really helps to make it look modern. (yeah, I know this will ruffle some feathers because some people apparently prefer 0px padding on everything)

        One thing that always irked me a bit about the old “comment reply” window is that it has a fixed division of the comment you’re replying to, and your own reply. Maybe a toggle would be nice? (and it would also be nice if that top window would also show the text from self-posts when I’m writing a top-level comment; that way we would be able to copy/quote from the selftext. IIRC on reddit it only worked when I was replying to a comment)

        Thanks for your work! Using Sync here feels like coming home.

    First, thank you so much for this app. I’ve tried so many and this one was a no brainier, especially since it is so incredibly customizable. The major feature I’ve been waiting for is multi column views (I can never go back lol)

    I have a couple requests: Is it possible to add voting without opening the post?

    This is the only RIF screenshot I have lol but you can see what I mean in the bottom right.

    Second, some posts get kind of wonky when there’s a title and image so it gets very long:

    Any way to make the post on the right look like the one on the left? I think it’s specifically when the image is a link preview.

    Again thank you so much and either way this app is amazing. I so appreciate the work you’ve done to make this happen ❤️

      Not sure about the layout you’re using, but with cards layout there are swipe gestures to up vote/down vote without opening the posts.

        I’m using a 2 column layout and swiping hides the post. I don’t see a setting to customize gestures but I’ll look again, I didn’t even think of that

          On cards view, there is settings for “partial slide” where it goes from up vote, then down vote, and then hide post with full slide if that makes sense depending on how far I swipe.

    Is it possible to upload multiple images? I can upload one image in a post, but can’t embed images in the body or a comment without receiving an error (“Could not upload image.”)

        Ok, thanks for the reply! I’ve been using Sync for a decade, and it is by far the best app I’ve used. Thanks for all your work porting it over to Lemmy!
