I’m the complete opposite. My family members are judgemental monsters, so it’s super easy for me to ignore the glances and snickers I get when I’m belting out “How it’s done” (done done!) in the backstock room.

Total opposite. People I know, I don’t talk much.

Random crowd, I’ll do a full on performance in front of them.

If the music is loud and I know the song, I’m singing it. Then again I don’t exactly have a reputation for being normal so ya know

Absolutely! It’s nice to find people you can be yourself with.

Nah, I sing my weird songs around everybody, no shame around anybody.

Nope, the dynamic in my family is most of us need some polite distance from each other and wouldn’t be comfortable doing that.

No. :( But I wish I did.

I’ve started singing in front of strangers. I’m not that good but I don’t care what anyone thinks. If I’m feeling good enough to sing, I’m taking it.

I convert from singing to whistling, then back to singing once strangers are out of earshot.

No. I tend to be quiet but I’ve learned this often makes people uncomfortable. I don’t need to talk around close family, but if I notice uncomfortable body language in a colleague after a long pause in conversation I’ll try to come up with something to say.

I never sing though. Anywhere.

That’s how your close relationships are supposed to feel. They should be people you feel comfortable to be yourself completely when around them!

I’m like that with my wife and a few close friends. Not so much with my family though.
