People’s cars get hit, and the grocery store should be liable. It’s their parking lot, their cart, their responsibility; hell, have someone walk the groceries to everyone’s cars.
I don’t make a mess; I leave the company’s cart where they can go get it away from cars.
The real question is how did they get everyone to argue with each other about this cart nonsense when it should have always been the company’s responsibility?

When you get a cart, you are borrowing it. In my part of the world. You’re expected to return what you borrow. Not just leave it wherever you wish and say “it’s your responsibility to get it since you borrowed it to me”
