Idk what exactly Reddit is saying about Taylor Swift atm, but Reddit decided to send me a personal notification that she got engaged despite not being active in any subs related to her which is shitty imo.
It’s really weird and telling that reddit immediately hates on Swift any time she’s in the news, but essentially did myth building for Musk for years.
The weird hate Swift gets both here and on Reddit is rather confusing.
Until you remember that she’s a woman and the user base of these platforms are predominantly 30 year old tech obsessed males.
She’s lovely. I love the universe she’s created and all the intricate little hints and tricks and things for her fans to dig into. It’s beautiful and entertaining.

She only said something now because her privileged ass gave ICE a tool to hide their kidnappings and she wants to push that out of the news. I try not to take issue with things that exist ostensibly to make people happy but let’s not kid ourselves, this was a calculation
What’s this about with Swift and ICE ?
Swift pushed for a loophole that would allow her to conceal the flight records of her private planes. Her argument was that her safety was at risk but to me it still came off as “I don’t want to deal with the poors complaining about my rich people behavior”. Recently ICE has been using the same loophole to conceal the flight records of deportation (read kidnapping and human trafiicking) flights.
She’s a worldwide stand-in best friend for a metric fuckton of people. I have no quarrel with her, but damn, the mania of the Swifties makes the Joe Rogan bros pale in comparison.
