While the idea is wholesome, it makes a pretty bad coaster imho: coasters are meant to prevent condensation droplets on the table right? A thin sheet of metal is the last material that should be used.

I mean, if the bar owner actually cared, they wouldn’t be the owner of a bar. But it’s great for fake internet points so ya know.
It’s like Nestlé saying “we care, truly” while stealing from water sources. Like, sure, you keep telling yourself that.
Why do you think that they don’t care? You can have a bar and care about your custommers not killing someone. It might be a small business, or yeah it might not be the owner, it might be a manager. You never know.
I’m from Czechia. We’re known for socks in sandals and drinking beer. But outside of few village idiots, noone driks and drive.
Yeah its just another marketing, refusing to serve people who comes with car will be a much impactful action if he truly care.
