I’ve seen people posting tweets from public figures talking about alligators, seen other people joking about alligators. It appears to me that the issue is political, not environmental, but I don’t fully get the picture.

“Alligator Alcatraz” is a new concentration camp built in the swamps of Florida. They’re selling Alligator Alcatraz merchandise to fund some cartoonishly evil dickwad’s political campaign.
Who tf supports a concentration camp… And displays merch of it… And you say somebody is making a profit? Wtf

Florida has a lot of alligators – DeSantis is building a concentration camp in Florida (in the middle of Big Cypress National Preserve, a environmentally protected area) – and the conservatives came up with the bright idea of calling it “Alligator Alcatraz”
