    The Onion could start writing about good things happening and then they’d be more Onion.

    “Trump signs executive order to provide subsidizing school lunches for underprivileged elementary schools”

    Something laughably unrealistic like that.

    Then it will make you cry, like an onion should.

    Yes. We have genuine headlines that are far more bizarre than anything the onion could come out with.

    Unironically I read union headlines now and have a moment of panic/confusion because I can’t tell an onion article at a glance. 10 years ago the onion was just a moment of bemusement, now I have to check the source. Same with the Beaverton that I see on Lemmy occasionally.
