So in that thumbnail you can see protesters wearing rain coats. That’s because it is common for the South Korean police to use fire hoses and water canons filled with military grade pepper spray. I was in a protest in Korea before and it fucking sucks. Also a few people were killed by this, since the canons are poweful enough to send you to the concrete, so there are sometimes people who bust their heads open and the stuff gets in the brain.
