Not really. The reality is they could use planes, subs, boats. No need to go through or even over the US.
But wouldn’t the kind of take the long way around from the Atlantic to the Pacific?
Canada touches the Atlantic and the pacific and so does the US and so does Mexico. Why would you have to go from one ocean to the other? Just sail up the coast pick an ocean and go
