So it’s fairly resistant to damage, they do a lifetime warranty, and if the seal is broken, the thermally insulating function of the bottle is compromised anyway. I guess that’s enough for the FDA? Obviously ideally you’d just prefer no lead at all? It was apparently charcoal until 2008.
Ah yeah, I’m seeing people saying it’s the solder joining some internal parts together, so that’s a total non-issue. But still… this is the one place where I wouldn’t defend leaded solder over the leadless alternatives.
