  • No idea how and why but my dad once had a cable like that in his workshop.

Short story: we were having a party, bit drunk and wanted power for the bigger speakers, needed an extension, rummaged around and found this one. Of course didn’t check the ends, plugged it in and then thought “oh what a weird male adapter there, lets take it…bzzzzt”.

Have a tiny burn scar on my hand now, luckily nothing else happened. The cable got dismantled afterwards, but I still don’t know why it was there in the first place, he is a pretty good handyman normally.

  • Know someone that did that journey recently, just came back last weekend. Said everything is fine in moscow and you can literally get everything (rebranded worst case). The only annoying thing was money and travel restrictions (i.e. fly over turkey, serbia,…).

So if she is only going to moscow, i don’t think thats much cause to worry.

Edit: i understant your reason to be worried, i am just saying moscow is not a terrible place like one might think from media, and there could be worse things to do. Probably better things as well, though…

  • Does anyone ever actually click on an ad? Like “hey thats cool I wanna check it out/buy it right here right now”?

I have adblockers active everywhere and only disable then somtimes for specific sites that really don’t work otherwise, but even if the unlikely case would come up that something is interesting I would just look it up separately? Mostly I just turn a blind eye on them anyway, but just wondering, some people gotta really click/buy from these ads? It just seems so surreal to me…
