You can find what you need in other ways
Yes!! 🏴☠️ for Canada 🇨🇦
Small share: yesterday I bough a kitchen scale at the store, thinking it’s Chinese, but something didn’t sit right and I looked up the company profile, saw it was American, and returned it within the hour. Then found Canadian Tire sold a similar product by a company from PEI, that turned out to be even cheaper and better (USB chargeable rather than with AA batteries).

If you wanna be my lover, you gotta get rid of my friends
No issue if the info gets hashed and the service’s database is only searched for the hash à la have I been pwned, it’s probably legit 😜

I partly agree, certainly that if you have to wait for the food to cool down so it doesn’t burn your mouth, that’s not an enjoyable experience. I mostly like cooked food to be lukewarm (but only some things are enjoyable to me actually cold). Also I don’t like hot drinks, even in winter.

So hard to pick a favourite. I’m especially proud of having the mail server.
I don’t want to make fun of you because I think you’re young and hurting. But honey… Turkey is by far more (small-c) conservative than Canada, and even if Erdoğan gets the boot tomorrow, he’s not going to be replaced by an Avi Lewis. This iteration of the EU will never ever admit Turkey. Maybe in the very distant future there will be a political union with a European core that will include Turkey and possibly Canada.
Funny how my brain recognizes Canadian packaging before I consciously register the bilingual labelling.

Similar sentiment but for a completely different reason: as a Canadian I love our short summer. Cloudy and dreary summer days don’t give me FOMO when I choose or have to stay indoors instead of spending time outside.

If a doctor treats different patients differently based on country of origin, they should lose their license.
I do for work but not for my self hosting operation, I don’t think it makes sense at least in my case. My recommendation is not to use full disk encryption on a home server, but to encypt specific directories as needed (I use fscrypt on an ext4 file system).

I’ll check out sli.dev, I’ve been using Reveal.js for years now and highly recommend, I love how hugely customizable that is, but one issue for perfectionists is that it’s relatively hard to perfectly convert to a PDF, these days I use DeckTape that does a decent job. I used to be one of those nerds that used LaTeX (Beamer) but fell out of love with it.

Some time ago I tried Abrechnung and it was quite good actually.

When you run out of local storage…
If you have a single node, external USB storage is 100% fine. Even if you have more machines, if you don’t actually need a massive amount of storage, you can share that external drive as NFS.

I can’t wait for public transit to suck less in Canada.

I just love it that we complete for who is more anti-Musk now 😂
Arch on desktop since 2020, RH-flavoured on servers.
Used Kubuntu from 2012ish to 2020, distro-hopped in the decade before that.

That is the way. I just don’t understand open source projects that have no ties to regions where these dumb regulations exist blocking users from said region. Why is it your problem? If California (for example) wants to block your website, let it be their problem.

It’s worse than both of them being the wing way
You usually just own a unit
