Years ago I disagreed with a conservative mod and got banned from their subreddit. Months later I had forgotten all about it and I comment on a post from that subreddit with a new account, because the post was recommended in my timeline.
Because of that I was banned site-wide for ban evasion. I didn’t even break any other rules, I didn’t spam or harass or threaten anyone, I posted no links, nothing, just commented on a sub I forgot I was banned from. I also didn’t know you had to appeal on the banned account or the ban would stay forever, so ai naively deleted my account and made a new one.
Ever since then every account I make gets banned or shadowbanned within a month. And I’ve switched devices, emails, everything, and nothing works because they also track how I write and what subs I typically interact with, plus my wifi networks. No attempts to appeal on other accounts have ever worked. And if you search for posts about ban evasion bans, everyone treats it as something that is always justified and that only bad people do. That was well over four years ago.
So basically, Reddit doesn’t want its users.

They do, and sometimes it’s the AI that bans you because it didn’t take the context of your comment in consideration. I only keep my shadowbanned reddit account to access some information there, but these days I’m mostly here and on tumblr.
