It is absolutely a loaded question. The question is not whether Israel should exist or if we should accept what Hamas says about the state of Israel. The question is do Jewish people support the actions of the Israeli government.

Okay you all told me that this was a hamas rocket misfire and when people pointed out the damage is inconsistent with Hamas weapons now it’s the lion den that has infiltrated Gaza, brought over better munitions then misfired those munitions into a hospital that Israel has repeatedly threatened (and they lied about previously targeting hospitals) and I’m the naive one?

My tiktok feed is incredibly unkind to Israel with the footage of children either dead or weeping at the hospital beds of their parents. That is why this is happening. That is why they shut off the Internet and electricity in Gaza and that is why they want you to shut off your Internet as well. If you see what is happening in Gaza there’s a real possibility that global public opinion turns incredibly hard on the Israeli government.

I’ve seen about 5 reporters break down crying on tiktok. I watched a doctor treating a patient learn about his children dying in an airstrike. This isn’t even graphic content. It is the raw human emotion and fear. Palestinians are putting out their goodbyes on social media and it’s heartbreaking.

The Israeli government is a far right fascist government and it knows it can’t survive without Western support. This time it’s already well out what they’re doing. Even their defense of saying they have to fight against Hamas is ringing hollow. You can’t decry the death of Israeli civilians and then the world watches you bomb ambulances on Facebook.

I didn’t say any of that. I pointed out that this particular blog source isn’t providing any tangible evidence and should be treated with skepticism.

I deliberately don’t follow much Ukrainian war news, I find the coverage from a western perspective distasteful so I went and googled around a bit.

This is a better evidenced and written article. Like I said I’m not a Russia fan and approaching western reporting with skepticism is generally a better approach in my opinion.

I’m not a Russia or Putin Stan but this isn’t evidence of anything. A Ukrainian blog stating the Ukrainian police found 80 places the Russians used to allegedly hold and torture civilians? The article offers nothing but a statement as evidence this happened. The only photo in the blog post is a room with what looks like a mattress and clothes.

I’m sure the Russians are doing fucked up shit. I’m pretty tired of the pro-ukraine take.
