From the screen grabs, Since when is a legally street parked RV a homeless encampment? Looks like picking low hanging fruit for campaign talking points.

In elections where 30% of people turn out right now, that’s a hell of a lot of random, and people aren’t actually that random, on a list of 10 candidates you can guarantee the “random” votes will cluster visually and the same 1-2 positions on the physical layout will always win.
MANDATORY voting… Let’s be real, we have people who are unable to read the candidates’ personal statements, you really want them voting?
That’ll be used to get President Camacho legislating Mandatory plant watering using Gatorade.
You know where this is going, can’t trust the vote of a misinformed voter, so… No vote until the government figures out what information you need for deciding on further changes to government.
It’s Oregon, with a population of a whopping 4 million across the entire state, so you know what, maybe actually cheaper to cut the state off than to establish DIY supply chain for repairs parts that will undercut your whole product portfolio.
You mean like a $500 level 1 techs KVM?
Can every KVM do this please?
That would mean electing parties and the parties choosing the specific candidates. That works until party interests are so entrenched that you cannot get any new representation without standing up an entire new party.
ALL sales tax needs to be replaced with value-added tax. Zero tax on used goods, including cars, if you actually want to reduce waste and related harm to the environment.
This is only workable if you also eliminate gerrymandering. Otherwise The party that’s in charge initially will turn it into an enduring uni party across the whole country.
I think literally all you need is ranked choice voting and the abolishment of corporate personhood and for profit lobbying. The rest will take care of itself.
Only when there’s enough people that it’s bordering revolution. Note how many national guard were not only deployed, but actually found themselves in gun battles (over civil rights), it was nuts by today’s norms.
The UN is toothless, don’t expect anything from the UN. General rule is people don’t move to change their leadership (Hamas in this case) until they’re literally starving and that’s what Israel is hoping happens in Gaza so they don’t need to set up and run their own puppet government long-term.
Only cheaper in small volumes, not in every car everywhere volumes.
You can use the same electricity you’d use to charge an electric car to separate water, but basically you’re saving the problem of having to deliver that power to every supercharger station at the time of your convenience, which is the biggest hurdle.
I live in the area with the most electric cars of anywhere and our power costs have passed the point where $6/gallon gas in a regular car is actually cheaper per mile than charging a Tesla.
ALL the power infrastructure needs to be replaced to handle multiples higher demand just to keep up.
No they’ve just been subsidizing an inferior technology (batteries might be better if we had room temperature superconductors, plus the hurdles for hydrogen are so much smaller and it doesn’t rely on digging hundreds of millions of tons of rare earth metals out of the ground just to replace all the vehicles on the road today)
Battling aliens on a different planet. Is that too much to ask for?
Funny thing about markets though, when you put fees on SUVs that just means the prices on used SUVs will go down, and so you’ll have fees being leveed on only the poorest who have no choice but to buy the cheapest car they can find and the richest who don’t care about the fee.
Came here to say this…
I guess that’s one way to shorten life expectancies while maximizing worker productivity…
Nobody defended communities discussing illegal things, then nobody defended communities discussing questionable legal things, then nobody defended disfavored things like firearms channels/YouTubers, now it’s your turn.
Don’t blame the president: WE decided to go in and kill a ton of Taliban, WE decided to spend actual trillions standing up and equipping an army that did not give enough of a fuck about anything but grifting. The ANA did not even try to slow down the Taliban when the US stopped acting as a backstop. Afghanistan never really thought of itself as a cohesive nation, we were never going to change their psyche.
I’d rather blame Bush and Obama for sinking trillions into helping their friends get rich at the cost of everyone pretending we were building a real country.
