In the medical world there’s a meme that nice people will inevitably have something wrong with them and die, and the most cantankerous jerks will hang on despite all odds no matter how many horrible diseases afflict them.

Finally. The concept of war crimes being fairly applied, rather than used as a political tool, is easily dismissed when looking at a career like that of Kissinger.
