Corendon Airlines is testing the “Only Adult” zones on flights between Amsterdam and Curaçao starting in November.

This area will be located at the front of the Airbus A350-900 aircraft and consists of nine XL seats with additional legroom and 93 standard seats.

There will be walls and curtains separating the “Only Adult” zone from the rest of the plane, making it ideal for travelers without children and business travelers who “want to work in a quiet environment,” according to a press release.

Let this idea catch on. And not just with airlines either. Restaurants, movie theaters, basically anywhere that kids go and parents are too lazy to control them.

As a parent, I actually support this idea. And it’s partly because kids are simply not always “controllable,” by any human, in a confined space after many hours.

Before I was a parent, I thought the right discipline would solve everything, but airplanes in particular are brutal environments, with very little space to move and limited options to distract them. Even screens, which are close to a silver bullet, don’t always work. Travel is exhausting and challenging for kids, and kids were never evolved well to handle being locked in a seat for hours, let alone dealing with pressure and time zone changes.

So please, until we have adults only zones, have a little patience. There are certainly bad parents, but I guarantee that most of them want their kid to be quiet even more than you do.

They should just turn the back of the plane into a ball pit and chuck all the kids back there before takeoff. The larger ones can take care of the babies.

Is the section going to be decorated with pineapples? And can we do adult activities? Cause if not what’s the point, ear plugs/buds easily take care of babies and Karens alike.

Just had two flights with a baby crying the entire time yesterday. All I had were airpods and they didn’t do shit to drown out the h8gh pitched screaming.

The most effective “headphones” I’ve found are using bone conducting ones, like shockz, along with construction ear plugs. The ear plugs on their own do so much for noise and the headphones at a pretty reasonable volume so the rest.

I don’t fly without my deep insert etymotic IEMs. Haven’t heard a baby cry or a Karen on a plane in over 15 years.

I often book super early or late flights on purpose, they’re normally cheaper and typically don’t have any kids on them.

    Let’s re-introduce smoking areas.

But make it only non-tobacco stuff.

Edit to all the people hating on me this time: if the children’s part starts like 3 rows behind your, you’ll hear them anyway and might’ve paid extra for adults only.

hope more will follow. no children on planes should be the normal state. unless you move or visit a dying loved one, there is no reason to bring a kid on a vehicle you share with other ppl…you are just selfish and rouining everyones day.

Yeah, just throw the kid in the garbage when you go on vacation. You can always get a new one when you get back.

I don’t like kids either but some of you don’t think twice about anything.

That may be one reason, bot also travelling on a weekly basis. You may think your kid is special, but at best its mediocre, most likely it is the worst and y’all are giving every one a hard time.

        Still, great comment

Ppl that are that selfish or stupid beyond repair to force new life through the upcoming hardships the world will encounter in the next years should be punished way harder than just travel bans.

also great attitude to load of your poor decisions on others and enforcing the burden on them

Well, sorry that the birth control did not work in our case… (We discovered the pregnancy in the 4th month, where abortion is not really an human opinion anymore, in my opinion) And we would have had to go to another country in order to do that, since it is only allowed until the third month here.
