Is there an algorithm deciding what I see? Your home feed is the people you follow, in the order they posted. Nothing is injected, ranked, or buried to keep you scrolling. Discovery happens through hashtags, trending posts, and your server’s local timeline, all on your own terms.

At least lemmy and piefed do have algorithms. also there should be a link to github/codeberg so that people could actually provide feedback on what is wrong with the website (and generally speaking we prefer open source around here). like in fediverse party which lists the link.

Two recommendations would be to use “overlords” instead of “landlords” I think former is a better catchall than the latter.

Second recommendation, on the “Find an App” page it should auto-scroll to the list below when you select one of the large pills. Or alternatively, do away with the big selection pills altogether. No reason to have two filtering methods that accomplish the same thing on the same page.

not for nothing but wordpress is not fediverse. it’s corporate horseshit. (under the section re blogging long form)

also note: there are absolutely legal risks running your own instance of anything and choosing to federate content with other instances.

Wordpress has a well working ActivityPub extensions that is developed with official funding by Automattic. You can interact with Mastodon quite well via these extensions.

But yes, Wordpress is kinda shit otherwise.
