But also, that definition is not always followed and people just call the stupidest size cars SUVs, and the less-stupid-but-still-stupid-size crossover

Well crossover is an SUV, the most popular type of “stupid size car” in Europe at least

Yeah I also looked it up and it doesn’t really seem like there’s a consensus on whether they count as SUVs. So I guess we’re both kinda right.
