I worked onboard an out-of-service cruise ship during COVID and was stuck onboard for 195 days at sea in a row. There were only 95 other crew members, and only 3 women onboard. I am still fucked up from all the isolation i went through.
As someone who truly enjoys being alone and left alone, I think it was a lost opportunity not trying to be a ligh house keeper or something of the like.
I find extremely interesting your underlining of that were only three women on board. It shouts how much humans crave for closeness when isolated.
What makes you think they weren’t one of the women onboard and through that were effectively even more isolated?

Not trying to be a dick, but this is what can happen when you join the military. That’s why they say you’re signing your life away for five years, it’s not all partying and sitting around. I mean it blows, but you also get free college, free healthcare, everything is paid besides personal spending… Just saying.

Joining the military in a corrupt capitalistic country is about as dumb as it gets. I got more patriotism for those fighting the fascists here than the ones doing the racists bidding abroad (or here for that matter, looking at you ICE)
