I’m just gonna cross post this here.

We have the means to end every form of inequality out there. We would just have to come together as world to make it happen. But no. We’re basically monkeys with nukes.

Which is why, as a species, we deserve everything coming our way.

Humans tend to believe we are unbeatable. In reality, in 100, 200 years we may have disappeared completely. This has happened to many other species.

Humans are the most adaptable species in the history of the planet. Humans will survive, but it will be at MUCH lower numbers. And it won’t be people in bunkers.

I’d say horseshoe crabs still beat us in terms of adaptability, they’ve been around since the Triassic (>250 million years ago).

For now. They’re also farmed and used to an even older climate than we are. There’s really no good way to tell what will survive and what won’t.

Maybe if we build maaaaany more ai data centers we can ask ai for a solution. I mean, they are a major cause for the exponential pollution but they might have an answer and they can create boob pictures.

And the twats in the US “government” plan on using satellites to beam sunlight down at night, because we definitely need more fucking hot…

With luck this will get scrapped or they’ll get sued. Seems like a stupid ass idea (imagine that).

I mean…there was that one time where we likely collided with a small planet/moon. But other than that.

I would argue, there were asteroid impacts that did it a little more quickly.

Humans need to try harder to self KT line itself to that level. At this point we will only be a slight discolouration layer with sightly higher metallicity a few million years from now.

…there were asteroid impacts that did it a little more quickly.

They mention that in the article:

Perhaps barring the immediate aftermath of the dinosaur-obliterating asteroid impact 66 million years ago, atmospheric carbon dioxide levels have never risen as quickly as they have in the last couple of centuries.

tribal communities of animals evolved to have mental capabilities and society on par with humans harvest ancient supertech that is used incorrectly to somehow farm and other stuff. Meanwhile some culty group is trying to revive the evil deity and its literally like gpt or something and their emblem is the logo of a different company’s ai model because nobody is alive from that era to leave a comment about how they used the wrong logo. They succeed but the llm gives hallucinated information and they wipe out all the current intelligent species by following the wrong instructions to generate nuclear energy.
