I don’t know their lore in good detail, but as I recall their dad was a chess champion and also an abusive/absent deadbeat asshole. Most likely the source of their current sociopathic behavior.

Oddly enough, they have a sister who’s a normal person and a lawyer who they absolutely despise. She refuses to associate with them in any way whatsoever.
