With the only characters connecting the 2 are Palpatine, C3P0 and R2D2
Technically, Yoda, Obi-Wan, Anakin, and some of the other jedi have voice cameos in Rise of Skywalker. Personally, I wish Anakin’s ghost had more of a role in the sequel trilogy

Waiting for the alternate cut where Poe pulls up a slideshow presentation of how Palpatine returned, because of course he’d be privy to all the exact details and has plenty of time to explain them at length.

I think the meme is that we feel the same way as Poe. Like, “yeah, how did he return?” I think the line itself is perfect. Everyone is just really confused during that scene, including the viewer.
They’re not particularly good either so I doubt anyone would care anyway.
I don’t think they’re bad but they are my two least favourite of the main 9
