Statistically, the guarantee there will be a “last time” means that every time it isn’t the “last time” your chance of the next one being the “last time” increase… So, you know, don’t freak out or anything because that increases the chances of the next time happening sooner.

The last time it did that, was the latest time and therefore it may have very well been the last time. Perhaps you are now finally free from its grasp. Or …you know…you die before the next one was bound to happen.

The mild chest pain causes anxiety, which causes more chest pain, which causes more anxiety, which causes more chest pain, which causes more anxiety, and on and on until full blown panic attack and the whole time it feels like you’re dying

    It’s great :)

A friend of my dads had a similar issue but it was caused by his internal defibrillator. The new ones are supposed to be better but back in the day aparently internal defibrillators kicked hard when they went off and this guy dreaded it every time which would cause him to panic until his heart rate spiked enough to set it off. He would feel his heart starting to speed up and he would start getting anxious about the defib going off which would make his heart rate spike more which would make him more anxious and that cycle would continue until the defib went off and basically hard reset him.

One of my colleagues had an issue with a pectoral muscle that caused it to cramp often. He would massage it when it cramped up. Purely a physical issue with the muscle. One day he caused a minor stir in the cafeteria at a client site as he grimaced and clenched his chest. My colleagues and I had some explaining to do, since by all appearances there were three people telling a person in cardiac distress that he should just rub some tiger balm on it and suck it up, like a man.

If it were serious, I’d know. There’s no reason to get everyone worried over literally nothing. It barely even stopped beating.

Ok so other people have this ? I thought it was just me, and it stresses me out when it happens, which leads to more of these weird sting like sensations…

It feels good to know we’re not alone. Have a good day everyone.

Been me for the last few days tbh. It feels like I’m on the cusp of having a panic attack, but it doesn’t come full on.

Just so happened to have a dr appointment the other day already lined up and everything checked out ok so idk. It just does that sometimes I guess lol

Could be a muscle sprain, muscle cramps, anxiety, gas, allergic reaction (hives), inflamed bowel (when my appendix tried to kill me, I didn’t feel any pain in my side, the only thing I felt was pain up under my sternum, like severe heartburn, due to my appendix inflamming my bowels), kidney problems, poison, forbidden love, voodoo dolls, and giving love a bad name.

I have two herniated discs in my neck which replicate the symptoms of a heart attack. I’m told it’s superficial. 🤷
