I’ve registered for the app already. Every day I check Google Play for available app updates. I’ll see a notification that there are several apps with updates available… but it’s never Boost… such disappointment every time. Haha!
In all honesty, I can’t wait for the app to come out. Take your time, do it right. And don’t do what Sync did… I’ll just leave it at that.

Currently using Sync, what’s wrong with it? Not to be hostile, I used Boost for Reddit for awhile there, just curious.
I guess Sync has data sharing stuff to Google and many weren’t happy with the pricing to get rid of ads. I haven’t used it so just going off what I’ve seen on Lemmy. I’m just using Liftoff at the moment and it has been mostly smooth and perfectly fine. Smoother than other options I’ve tried.
Apps that serve ads have data sharing, it’s how ads work. If you pay to remove ads the data sharing is also gone.
I didn’t say otherwise. I was giving a generalization why some seem upset. Which to me was always strange to begin with. App makers should be compensated in some way.
I think Sync definitely did it right, I’m using it right now. Their pricing model is whack though, and I’m eagerly waiting to come back home to Boost.

I used to use Boost for Reddit a few years back. I’ve paid for a year of Sync Ultra but I’ll still check out Boost when it releases.
No updates yet. Been using infinity for now and it’s been working ok. A few bugs here and there but core functions are stable.
