If I had a penny for every time I found out through the fediverse that my current anime pirate streaming website of choice shuts down, I’d have two pennies.
Which is not a lot, but GOD FUCKING DAMNIT
Where’d you hear that? This is the last I’ve seen about it from the official Discord.
The website has a message on it that sounds pretty definitive to pretty much everyone. But you know how it is. Piracy site goes down, comes back up a week later, turns out the feds are running it as a honeypot
I’ve heard it here: https://torrentfreak.com/piracy-giant-hianime-to-announces-mysterious-goodbye/
That article also says:
While the goodbye message seems crystal clear, the site’s official Discord server and Reddit community don’t appear convinced. While it is unclear whether the operators are moderating these communities, the mods and admins caution people not to jump to conclusions.
They then show a screenshot of the same message I showed above.
You know, I was thinking that having access to a private tracker to anime and manga would be pretty nice, because of things like this.
