I’m watching the Babylon Bee “sketch” called “Cooking with Communism”, and I’m pretty sure the Babylon Bee were misinformed about communism because I think it’s NOT always about famines and such.

I mean the Babylon Bee didn’t know about any libertarian forms of communism such as Left communism, De Leonism, council communism, syndicalism, Libertarian Marxism and anarcho-communism. I think the only reason why communism is being treated as a scary thing is because of Stalin.

I also think the reason for those famines in the USSR is Stalin bureaucratized much of the Communist Party. Maybe I’m just throwing words together, but that’s how I think is the reason.

There’s NO punchline in that “sketch”, and if there is, it would’ve been “100 million billion bajillion dead”. Is there a Lemmy community for cheesy and bad videos like that?
