Says they are using a different developer, Fools Theory, to create it. I looked up their current games and they seem good at making remakes and other stuff for big games. The one original game I saw looks really good as well. New DLC sounds great to me, no matter what it actually is.
Neat…would really prefer to see more CP2077 though.
Oh great, this is going to break all the mods and there is no way in hell am i playing an unmodded witcher
really! ive never modded w3, what kinda things do you customise?
For me, it’s all quality of life stuff. There are quest mods that people seem to like but I haven’t tried any. The mods I use all all stuff like infinite stamina horse running. Zero inventory weight limits. Full experience from every quest regardless of how overleveled you are. No weapon degrading. No fall damage so I can jump down from heights in novagrad. That basic stuff I grab off steam workshop so it’s always ready for my new game+ saves where I have an insane inventory. Nexus when I feel like trying the cooler stuff
Here’s the quest mods sorted by endorsements on nexus

I hope the new expansion sparks a new mod era for witcher 3. Would love witcher 3 as the base game for quest mods rather than skyrim. Witcher 3 graphics just so nice to look at
Getting rid of item weight, more fast travel points, question marks on map only showing when near, no fall damage, restored cut content, naked geralt, hiding ununsed ui elements, better mini map, unlimited perks, health regen on higher difficulties, and most importantly to me auto loot. Lots of little small things and annoyance fixes.
Eh, mods will get patched and will work within a few days again usually. Unless they explicitly remove support for them.
Some old abandoned mods might stop working though.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Oh please tell me its an official version for the advanced combat mod. Take those training wheeles off and lets get all souls-like up in Kher Moren.
Not everything needs to be a soulslike.
And some people like mods and options, or would you prefer we just use the classic retort “git gud”.
The mod just made the game more challanging, resources were consumed in crafting rather than refreshing on rests, it set geralt’s roll and step it to the camera angle, and made regen of stamina based on a % of current health.
Let people enjoy things and set your games difficulty setting to where you have the most fun, now sit down.

So install the mod and set your difficulty where you like it, while the rest of us don’t need to deal with any of that git gud shit.
I have nothing against mods like that existing. I’m very much against having an official DLC that enforces it as the new default, which was the implication of your first post.
If you want a souls-like, play a damn souls-like.
Or people can enjoy their media how they want to. If I want to mod the hell out of my favorite game until it hurts, thats my porogative.
This crowd detracting from wishful thinking is a real downer… Yall need to grow up.
