Whatcha playing? I’m still making my way through death stranding 2.
Also playing “Is this seat taken?” which is a super fun puzzler!
- also stuck on death stranding 2 ;_; - Current progress- I just met heartman - Im not enjoying it as much as the first :/ - Aw I’m sorry to hear that. I’m loving it a ton so far. I’ll have to see where the story lands but gameplay wise it’s been amazing - I still like it a lot! just not as much as i liked the original ds the first time :/ He seems to behaving more fun with the story sections though! (at least when hes not doing the classic kojima over explaining thing :p) - But i miss that feeling of isolation and just walking in silence i had in the first one, even though i dont understand why it doesnt feel silent now. Maybe its because i played it on steam and not on a playstation (interface stuff…) - Good luck on your journey though! keep on keeping on :) - You have received 100 likes from chloyster for liking her post on the Social Strand System 👍 - :3 - Good luck to you as well! And I also get that. The first was so unique that it’s hard to get that same first experience. And I think I see what you mean too with the silence. If I had to guess maybe it’s dollman, or all the new fun ways to get around, or the Magellan being available all over the place. I did have a great moment trudging through the mountains yesterday though that brought me back to some epic moments I had in the first game
- Are you having the same feeling as me where it feels like there’s so much more play structures lying around compared to the first game? There’s freaking bridges EVERYWHERE.

- Stardew Valley led me to the video game crack that is Factorio once again. Good God it’s a well designed game.
- I’m playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Skyrim on OLED Switch. - And I’m thinking about trying BTOW again. I bought my Switch to play BOTW, but it just hasn’t been my game yet. BOTW makes me feel stupid/dumb when I play it, maybe it won’t on my next try? - Remember that it’s always okay to look up online guides and whatnot if you’re feeling stuck or you’re not understanding something.

- My computer has been out of commission, so I’ve been playing Pikmin 4, Animal Crossing New Horizon, and Bioshock on the Switch.
- I’ve been playing through Death Stranding 2 and Is This Seat Taken? as well! - I’ve also been dipping in a little to the new stuff in Monster Hunter: Wilds and setting up a ton of emulation on my brand new Steam Deck; I went from being excited to have the new machine to overwhelming myself pretty quickly!
- C&C Red Alert 2 - I played it as a kid 25 years ago, but Day9 was replaying it recently and I had to go back and try it. It’s so good, especially the campy live action cutscenes 🤌. There was definitely a lot of humor that went over my head as a kid 😂.
- Into the Unwell playtest. It caught my attention at Summer Game Fest and I was lucky enough to get the invite. I am loving it so far and can’t wait for it to release. Go wishlist it now! - Also playing a bit of Garfield Kart: Furious Racing. Fun little Kart game and the sequel is in the works.
- Apparently I’m in a 4X & RTS mood: Age of Wonders IV, Civ V & Civ VI, and some Age of Empires 2 & 4 matches. Also on holiday for the next couple of weeks so I’m debating whether or not to do BG3 or Pathfinder: WotR (my patience for CRPGs runs out at ~50-60 hours so perhaps neither) - If you like RTS, they recently released an HD version of Dawn of War which is pretty nice.

- The Alters. It’s great! Nice to see someone tackle ideas around some really deep philosophical questions and make an actually engaging game around them. - Yahtzee’s review: https://youtu.be/m0ViiBrey8E - Also playing Elden Ring Reforged with some friends. Not sure if I care for it, I don’t really enjoy the souls-like gameplay.
- Currently preparing for a Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous playthrough, but I might play something else before then. - I’m definitely not gonna make my own builds, nor am I interested in that, with the hundreds of feats and spells in the game, many of which are just traps and no real way to learn. So I’m going through a bunch of different guides, a lot of which are outdated, and am currently creating a spreadsheet for me to reference, so I don’t have to sift through different videos and websites, every time I level up or do some other stuff (like the Crusade mode). I did the same for my BG3 Honor Mode playthroughs, and it makes everything so much more convenient.
- I’m playing a few casual couch co-op games with my partner and our neighbours. - Overcooked, Out of Space, and Moving Out. - Up to four players. They involve a lot of communication, team work, and frustration. Lots of fun.
- Finishing Persona 3 Reload. Story-wise it’s still my favourite among the (modern, at least) Persona games and I liked the new additional events. For the gameplay, I’m disappointed that it’s P5 system again and the new mechanics (theurgies) are overpowered. The game is a bit too easy, even on merciless. - Played a bit of Trails of Cold Steel III, but it feels more of the same of CS1. I’m considering dropping the series, as I can’t imagine it’s ever going back to Sky/Crossbell quality.
