“The Bellmaker” by Brian Jacques is part of his Redwall series, which kinda raised me. It’s amazing how much of this I remember.

Red wall was awesome I’d hoped to pass my books along to the next generation to enjoy, but Print media is for old people now. I guess.

And by his replies to our comments shows that we have hit a nerve and deep down he knows we are right. As a fellow artist and writer people using AI for art pisses me off. I prefer a three year old drawing of sad art, or fucking stick figure art to ai any damn time. So yes fuck these guys whole post. I’m sure the book author rather you use his original cover then this ai created bullshit.

Edit: here fucking go this is way better cover art

Edit 2: hell could even used audible cover

              • To be an artist, you need skills. Skills you do not have. No one stole from you. You just don’t have what it takes.

                1. You are not an artist. An artist makes art and spreads the joy of creation. An artist makes art. You make bitching and spread your lack of joy. An artist makes art. You make bitching. What tf does that make you?

                2) While you’re sitting in your cave with shit-stained fingers complaining about your lack of ability to compete in a market where people are thriving, you have forgotten the most important thing about art. What is that, Pinocchio? What is the most important thing about art? THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER.

You have no respect for the eye of the beholder, which means you will never GET the respect of the eye of the beholder. You are not destined to be one of us because you cannot adapt to tools and manifest your vision THROUGH THE TOOL in a competitive space, like the good little cog in art history which you ARE NOT. What part of Art History are you building besides your stance as the ant-like, sweaty irritant at the edges complaining that no one seeks you out?

Go find someone else’s joy to shit on, you talentless hack.

    • True! Although, for my own enjoyment I could see myself going to the library just to relive the entire experience. Maybe I’d even read it before the sun came up, just to remember what it was like to dread and fear my mother’s company. 😂

I have no idea how I had never heard of Redwall until last year when Magic’s Bloomburrow set released. I grew up watching the Secret of NIMH, reading the comic, Redwall should have been the next logical step… but I missed it.

I also missed out on Redwall… I knew of it’s existence, but somehow never got around to reading it… Until this year. I’m well into my 30’s but I have enjoyed it so far! Definitely worth the read.

      • ☝️ This. Exactly. Is it a fantastical tale catered to kids? Sure. It’s also phenomenal, discussing themes from the history of the British Isles. Check out this intro from another of his books in this series:

I watched the show and then read the books in grade 7…my son is now obsessed with them in grade 1! They have contributed so much to his drive to read. Such a fantastic series.
