The FT report of US stance is most likely correct, though point is that US forces are travelling thousands of miles to do shows of force near China and then accuse China of being aggressive.
Reminds me of the term “defend forward” in the NSA’s lexicon. Made me laugh my ass off when I first heard it.
It’s literally doublespeak, lol.
China has been doing a ton of unsafe intercepts via sea and air and I’ve been curious if this is a tactic or simply poor training on how to properly and safely execute these intercepts.
