That direction is straight toward the courthouse.
I mean the way some companies have been using AI they’ll be headed that way anyway.

That direction is litigation via patent trolling
First we have to figure out how that"online gaming" thing works, because we’re busy suing people.
Shit on Nintendo being “behind the times” and patent litigation, but they are the console I always have the most fun with. I pick up my Switch everyday, the Xbox and PS grow dust. That’s just me, maybe I’m just too simple…
They wouldn’t, you can’t claim ownership of AI generated material in many places. So for such a litigant company AI is a no go.
They’re still figuring out the internet
woot
Could they go in a direction with good hardware and better games?
Over the years I’ve gotten rid of every console except for my Nintendo consoles. Sure their hardware is not cutting edge but I don’t really care because I always enjoy myself when I play my Nintendo consoles.
If you want the 202[3/4/5] version of COD at 4k 60fps then an Xbox is probably more suited to you. Nintendo just isn’t going after that segment. The variety is a good thing.
Variety? From the company rereleasing the same platformer year after year?
Yes, variety in that there are multiple current gen systems available for consumers and one of them is portable and affordable. Nintendo plays their hits just as much as the others.
Same can be said for COD and similar games.
who would you say has made better games than Nintendo? cuz if you go by sales numbers or ratings, you might consider shutting tf up
Minecraft and Tetris aren’t made by nintendo.
If I wanted good hardware I’d build a PC. Which I did.
If I wanted good games, I’d build a PC, buy a switch, and sail the seas for anything those can’t run natively that I actually want to play. Which I did.
This reminds me of when IBM rejected the idea of the internet.
