Today’s game is (Modded) Skyrim. I took this while walking from Whiterun to Winterhold to start the Mage’s guild quest. I thought the mountain was pretty so I snapped a screenshot
I just got back from a couple weeks on Bali and I looked forward to your posts everyday when I was eating breakfast at dawn.
My Skyrim‘s incredibly heavily modded to the point where it‘s impossible to troubleshoot glitches I encounter, but goddamn is it pretty.
My game will freeze rarely and I have to restart my System. That may not be a Skyrim issue though and instead a Linux/Proton one
What are some of your favorite mods you have on this playthrough?
Off the top of my head there is Frostfall and Campfire. I’m doing a survival run right now and they add camping and better cold mechanics. It really adds to the immersion (for me at least)
Walking from Whiterun to Winterhold? Save your stamina, steal a horse!
I spend a lot of time every day troubleshooting and tweaking my mod list. Sometimes I’ll think about it while I go to sleep and I’ll have a solution when I wake up! It is one of the few tasks I can concentrate on for long periods of time. Playing the game might actually happen soon!
I always wondered if there are professionals who do this sort of program-fixing in their work, and I would love to find such an environment.
Thank you Atticus, please keep up the great posts!
I‘ve been doing programming as a hobby for years and I am pursuing it as a career. Sleeping on a problem has become one of the best tools in my toolbox. I would not be surprised if there are professionals who do the same thing in their work. Thanks for the support btw! I enjoy sharing these with everyone
