Clearly they meant “Don’t (do the right thing), be evil”
“Zoom in, there’s a period: Don’t. Be evil.”
It’s been years since they ditched that officially.
They ditched the motto but it’s still in Google’s code of conduct. Not that it makes any difference at this point.
