minus-squareteftlinkfedilinkEnglish3•1 year agoHis full name was Gaius Julius Caesar Augustus but he was most commonly called Octavian. He was born Gaius Octavius but when he was named successor to Julius Caesar he adopted Caesar’s name.
Two different emperors. July is named after Julius Caesar and August is named after Augustus.
