hey! thanks for the offer to help. feel free to offer to help mod any communities, and if there’s any local communities here that look unmoderated, let us know! that would be a good start.

it is on our todo list, see shadow’s updated comment here: https://lemmy.ca/comment/14573698

apparently, yes. crosses, anyways:
The ban, meant to separate the state from religion, also outlaws Christian crosses, Jewish kippahs and Sikh turbans.
i’m just guessing at this point, but if you send just the login command to the bot, it sounds like it should give you some options on how to login? what are the options it gives you in response, if anything? and have you tried any of them?

have you followed the instructions here?
https://docs.mau.fi/bridges/python/telegram/authentication.html
this section specifically mentions:
Telegram officially discontinued registration from 3rd party clients as of 2023-02-18, so support for it was removed in v0.13.0 of the bridge. You should sign up using a mobile client and then log into the bridge.
so not sure if that’s the issue you’re running into (the timing matches up, anyways).
i’ve never used the telegram bridge myself, but i have other bridges running successfully.

i don’t think this is currently possible: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy-ui/issues/2411

on the Sopranos wikipedia page it clearly says the theme song is by “Alamaba 3”. Reading the article, it says:
The show’s opening theme is “Woke Up This Morning” (Chosen One Mix), written by, remixed and performed by British band Alabama 3.
With no references of Cohen anywhere. So a good chunk of the internet is wrong. Thus why AI shows conflicting information too.

thanks for reporting it here so quickly!

thanks, will contact them and get that resolved!
😂 while I appreciate it, i want to give credit where credit is due. shadow does 99% of the infra work, and mp3 and otter were instrumental in getting the non profit setup. i just help out where I can!

pixelfed is a fediverse version of Instagram. and no, not a replacement. more like a complimentary service.
while we are happy that you’re willing to help spread the word around about us, we would recommend just getting to know the site and the users and the community a bit more before getting too involved in promoting the site. thanks though!
yes, feel free to share the link! also for anybody new to lemmy / the fediverse, we have some guides to help people get started too.
haha it wasn’t actually me that did it, i just relayed the info.
but i’m going to try and be more active here going forward!
yep we preemptively blocked that when we saw the news about their domain name.
agreed! I’ve been using KISS since Nova got bought out and have been loving it. i tried a bunch of different ones but KISS had the best combo of features and simplicity to me. will take a lot for me to switch away now.

very nice! i’ve been using the fork for a while now, and it’s been rock solid. glad to see it will be available on fdroid soon.

thank you, at least that clears things up.
sorry about the delayed response to this, but just to clear out any confusion, we (lemmy.ca) don’t have our own app or apk to download. i’m guessing that you probably just added a home screen shortcut to our website possibly?
anyways, as others have said, there’s a bunch of different lemmy apps for android, there’s a nice overview of them here, and you can filter by various things, etc: https://www.lemmyapps.com/
i would recommend against any of the discontinued apps, however.
