The warriors. I love it. I don’t care how silly it is. Normally I don’t do musicals but the awful bugsy Malone with the pie fights. We had to watch it at school and it cracked me up how ridiculous it is.

I went back and played it on my ps3 during the pandemic, I thought it really held up. So disappointed there won’t be any more of them.
The saboteur
Picked it up randomly back in the day with 0 expectations . I loved playing this game. The way it uses black and white to express the despair of ww2 France , slowly transforming to colour as you destroy nazi infrastructure and the tide of the war changes is so satisfying .
I let the dwarf do the post processing using the “auto” setting . It takes around 2 mins.

Not The Onion@lemmy.world•Polish general fired after anti-tank mines found in Ikea warehouseEnglish
5·9 months agoI had a good chuckle at this. It just seems like IKEA were politely waiting for the mines to be dealt with .
Put in a bowl and season with your choice bet I would usually do paprika , cayenne , chilli powder ,salt, white pepper. Add a tsp oil and mix all together.
Put a ball of the meat on top of a sheet of parchment paper then place a second sheet on top. Roll it and thin between the sheets, as thin as you can then roll the sheet up and put on a baking tray. Repeat until all meat done.
Bake in oven at 200c for around 15 mins Serve with pita or wraps and veggies

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are your most prominent food memories from childhood?
4·3 years agoPositive : my mums home made bread and butter pudding fresh out the oven on a cold night still brings a smile and is something I am lucky enough to still get to enjoy.
Negative: that time when I was about 5 when we were having pasta for dinner and somehow a whole clove of garlic ended up on my plate and I bit right through it. That’s the first time I ever remember tasting garlic and I was totally unprepared, I was sick everywhere a few moments later
Second this, it’s amazing. I also like: Food inc PBS circus History of the bbs Brick city
The Presidents by Iain Dale might be worth looking at. There is also a podcast which goes with it with 1 episode per president.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Data privacy: how to counter the "I have nothing to hide" argument?English
2·3 years agoThis is usually the approach I take. You “have nothing to hide” now doesnt mean you won’t want to hide something considered normal or not a problem right now in the future. I’m sure many people if they could go back in time would remove pictures or comments from social media that were appropriate (or at least not a big problem at the time) that haunt them now.

The ones at the back don’t exactly look thrilled either.
