  • You’re asking the right question at least. It’s about persistent effective action, what kills that is motivation.

If daily affirmations or visualizing a goal keeps you motivated, great. I went through about 6 months of job hunting last year, doing literally anything but writing apps helped me clear my head so when I started again I got into a rhythm more easily.

I think it’s just important to track your progress. What have you attempted, what is the status of things you’re currently trying etc will help you determine if whatever you’re doing to stay motivated is working and if not you know you need to change your approach.

  • It sounds like the suspension of the prison term isn’t a special case, and he also can’t drive for 3 years. I don’t think this is especially favoritism for drivers over cyclists. Sounds like a normal accident with a reasonable sentence for that country for an accidental death

Wade was handed a 10-month prison sentence, suspended for two years. He was also banned from driving for three years and ordered to undertake 200 hours of unpaid community work.

Noting that the incident did not involve alcohol, drugs, phone use, or racing, judge Nadim explained that, following Wade’s early guilty plea, the appropriate prison term was 10 months. However, new sentencing guidelines meant that any jail time under 12 months would result in a suspended sentence, “unless there were exceptional circumstances”.

  • He didn’t state what his actual process was. People assume that just means firing out a query and no bothering to check it, he said he uses it to summarize sources to see if they are worth reading. I don’t think that’s unreasonable if he still reads them.

Regarding using it to write scripts, I think if you use LLMs to generate something you are good at making and are picky and opinionated about, the review process very quickly makes you skeptical about the output.

Before the response, IP rights and environmental effects of LLMs are completely valid and are a valid reason for opposing them. Don’t just assume someone’s using it out of laziness instead of in an attempt to scale up their own work.

  • I mean, if you’ve consented to a monogamous relationship and your partner violates that consent it’s a big deal.

If they find that certain aspects of the relationship aren’t compatible with what they want and they can’t work it out, they should leave the relationship. Notbl saying it’s easy, but that’s part of the responsibility that comes with being in a committed relationship.
