  • Yes, the US government seems to be trying to make a fascist takeover. Treating the citizens like slaves of the government heads is basically what every ultra-authoritarian government does.

This has happened before in many places all over the world, it will unfortunately keep happening, but we got through a period where its frequency was reduced. It would be good not to go back into it being common, and the 9point6’s comment is right on the spot on how to avoid it.

Anyway, nothing is settled, and the US’s future is looking brighter than 2 weeks ago.

  • Those labels aren’t reliable, the material specification isn’t reliable, if you research your clothes before buying them maybe you know how to get some reliable information.

My list is enough to practically everything, and I just don’t know how to filter out the stuff that would fail it. At the end of the day, I’m not doing more work to avoid throwing away a problematic piece of cloth every few years.

  • In a high-level, you don’t design them anymore. You write them, in code. The compiler turns your code into the chip masks, and has an optimizer that will mangle the hell out of the relatively simple stuff you wrote.

In a lower level, that compilation is not really done automatically, and people will intervene in lots of places, and AFAIK, how people divide it and interact with it are well guarded secrets from the chip makers.
