I don’t like reddit enough to do that. Im there literally for a few communities I built (that exist here) and I’m basically there to mod only. Reddit is trying to push out mods so I know my time is limited.

Literally people are only complaining because you post everything as “I did this I did that” no one would give a fuck if you just said you reposted it. But people want to have a discussion and think you actually did this stuff and get disappointed that no one ever answers them.

You’re taking the entire discussion portion out of it.

I’m not going to hate on you here because like everyone is saying the kids need help, I think you do as well. Clearly your school is under resourced for this. You and the kids in your classes do not deserve to be threatened and/or harmed.

That being said, I know when we are a victim, it’s insanely hard to see anyone else being a victim, especially not the person hurting us. I think both things are true. I think you’re a victim and this child could also quite possibly be a victim.

I’m not sure what your purpose was for posting here. But I can tell you that your feelings about the situation are valid. You may want to however, reevaluate your reaction.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if you’re experiencing burn out. If you have the ability/time, you should practice some self care. I’m sure you love most of your students and couldn’t picture ever not being a teacher but, this might be time to consider a leave of absence or, a career change. Please note, I said consider not, you need to do this.

My best friend and I became friends in 3rd grade and we’re 37 now. She was my neighbor actually when we were born but her family moved before either of us have memories of it.

I also have another friend, the type you don’t talk to much but, if you needed something, they’d show up to hide a body. We were neighbors so we’ve been friends since he was born. So about 36 years. We text once every 6 months to a year. We meet up randomly usually involving one or both sets of family members. But I know I’d be there for him if he needed me and same the other way.
