My wife hates doing dishes, but I find it a nice excuse to listen to a podcast while doing something menial.

The snaky boy is more than $3 these days, at least if you get a long one.

Don’t forgot putting extra lipstick on any character it thinks is female

I have bash scripts of the form rsync -av source dest for this. Make it -avz if copying over a network.

Soft drinks in general. A can is 255ml, a bottle is 500ml, a big bottle is 2L

That’s not at all a bad price for the product. Honestly I’m surprised it’s not more.
The roadrunner runs up and into the house in the painting, but the coyote still cannot follow

Why are you framing socialism and democracy as incompatible?

Those people see AI as a transformational technology that is going to be central to how everything is done 10 years from now for better or for worse, and trying to ignore that is just putting your head in the sand.

Africa is by far the most accurately portrayed part of the map, and it’s right in the center.

The Mercator projection really seems to be Africa-centric if anything

We had a close call with a tornado once. We were driving down the highway in torrential rain and strong winds when I got the tornado warning pop up on my phone. There was no one else on the highway except one semi truck. We aren’t used to tornados and weren’t sure what to do, and considered just pulling over, but decided to just get off at the next exit, but that ended up being like 5 more miles, which doesn’t sound like much, but while terrified and driving as fast as I could in heavy rain and winds, it felt like an eternity. When we did find an exit, we pulled into a gas station right by the freeway and ran inside. There were a bunch of locals there who were sheltering but seemed really nonchalant about it.
Checking the news later, the tornado passed only a few miles from us. I know others have worse tornado stories, but this was still one of the scariest things that’s happened to me.

Here’s what San Francisco looked like in 2018 when there was a lot of smoke from California wildfires blowing in:

People were voluntarily wearing N95s when this happened so I know people complaining about them during the pandemic were bullshitting.

The shots of the background already look realistic, and the shots of her face look like a different person

I have my Immich instance setup with an nginx proxy for security and ssl, and that’s exposed to the internet. I have a domain for my personal website, so I just put up my Immich instance at a subdomain of that. I can now make public share links I can just copy and paste into a group chat. I haven’t added any other users yet but I’d I wanted to all they’d need to do is login via email/password.
This is an officially supported kind of setup for Immich, so I would consider it secure: https://docs.immich.app/administration/reverse-proxy/
I don’t have all of my homelab services exposed publicly though; I VPN in for those.
General tips for exposing a server to the internet:
Weren’t the extra graphics from the remaster update an optional setting?

Yes that’s stadium pricing. Pay $10-$15 for a hot dog that makes the Costco $1.50 hot dog look gourmet.
That’s the worst rendering of la Sagrada Família I’ve ever seen
Why do I need a slightly smaller, less capable phone to stick on the back of my phone?
